A plain-language summary of how I’ll Sort It is designed to handle family admin and sensitive documents.

Launch note: This privacy notice is a practical product draft for the private beta. It should receive formal legal review before a broad public launch.

What we collect

Account details, supported-person details you choose to add, tasks, documents, family-access settings, Smart Sort corrections, and technical/security records needed to operate the service.

Why we use it

To provide the service: organise admin, show deadlines, store documents, enable family sharing, send requested reminders, secure accounts, troubleshoot problems, and process subscriptions.

Smart Sort

The core Smart Sort engine uses local OCR and deterministic rules rather than a generative-AI API. Learned patterns are stored for the account as structured preferences such as sender, document type and corrected field choices; a second copy of raw document text is not stored in the learning table.

Documents

Production documents are designed to be stored in private object storage and encrypted by the application before storage. Access checks are enforced against the supported person and family role.

Sharing

We do not sell sensitive personal information. Information is shared with service providers only as needed to run the product, such as hosting, email delivery and payment processing, or where required by law.

Your controls

• Download your account data and documents.
• Remove family access.
• Forget individual Smart Sort patterns or reset learning.
• Delete your account and profiles you own.

International use

I’ll Sort It can be used across countries. Hosting and service-provider locations, cross-border transfer terms, retention periods and jurisdiction-specific notices will be documented before general availability.
